Unlikely. It works exactly as other similar iterations with Revolut, Raisin, Flagstone etc
Monzo provide the customer service and pass the deposits on to the bank in question
You can sometimes open accounts directly with these sort of banks, but they would be operated separately

And get more favourable rates.
You just couldnāt administer them from within the Monzo app, which is the appeal for some (not me).

In my experience you get the more favourable rates via Raisin, HL Active Savings, etc.

Got an email to say my savings rate is now 3.5%, and 1p challenge put is 4%. Iām on extra. Interesting that savings rates are going up.
Iāve been holding the bulk of my instant access savings in Zopa with the higher rate there.

Doh, I hadnāt noticed the 21st March bit in the email. I remember the notification in the app saying that time. Embarrassingly there was me thinking Monzo had done another increase in the saving rate.

Interesting that when you open a pot or savings account it now gives you the option to generate the image with Apple intelligence

Just had a notification that my Charter pot is closing down and I can move money to a Monzo managed pot and if I do I get a 0.25% bonus. This is for a joint account. The process was very slick.

My OH had the same over the weekend. It looks like new joint pots also get the bonus .25%

I really hope Monzo lunch some more in-house savings pots offerings now that all the 3rd party options are getting removed⦠fixed term etc etc.
Iām still hoping that theyāll develop the safety net pot features more too

Iād like Monzoās Cash ISA to get the same treatment as the S&S ISA.
In the S&S ISA you can have separate funds that sit within it.
It would be cool if in the Cash ISA you can have sub pots with individual goals for different purposes.

Looks like you can now add a date to your savings goals

It would be good if it also told you how much you need to deposit each month to keep to your target.

I now have this cluttering up my screen nagging me and canāt get dismiss it:
When I tap into it, it wants me to set up monthly savings because Monzo seems to think thatās not something I do:
Except I do. I have monthly transfers into a dozen different pots, most of which are savings pots.

Makes me wonder what counts as regular deposits to Monzo or is this more A/B testing
Finally I wish there were notifications for new features like this - I would have missed it if not for the forum. Like @Ryan1992 said it would be good if it told you how much you need to deposit each month, and if it could tell you if youāre on track etc. but itās a good start
Something else new? You can now see how much you have saved towards your goal for each of your savings pots! I really like this is like a dashboard for all my savings goals.
