I’m traveling to China (Mainland) and India by the end of next week and looking forward to using there. Based on the feedback about using Monzo in I guess I’ll probably just use it to withdraw cash from the airport, but I haven’t seen a post about using it in India yet. Any advice ?

I have travelled extensively in India using Monzo without experiencing any issues. You only need to activate the magnetic strip on your card so that you can withdraw money from ATMs - I think it stays active for 10 days each time. Of course I always make sure I have another card as backup and carry enough cash to see me through.
India is way ahead on banking apps these days.
