Has anybody used Monzo in Ethiopia yet?
Wondering whether to take cash or my monzo with me.

Just spent a week in Addis Ababa using Monzo, and seeing as nobody else has shared any insights on this I thought I’d post an update.
I enabled Magstripe ATMs in the app and had no problems withdrawing cash throughout my trip. I mostly used cash, but was also able to pay with my card with no problems at a couple of places. They asked for a signature as well as PIN. No contactless anywhere as far as I could tell and definitely no ApplePay.
No I have tried opening monzo account in Ethiopian passport it won’t work so don’t waste your time. Try payoneer instead
