Connected Accounts: what next? (Summer 2021 edition)

@Alexxxxx can you ask for a 4.0 launch please?

@Peter_G didnt actually name it

M&S

That is true. However he did make an excellent quip:

So in my view, the two of you can share it.

M&S Bank if we’re playing that game!

Who’s got a virtual cookie cutter? :eyes:

Anyway, yep: we’ve added M&S Bank to the other accounts feature! Do try it out if you can.

They’re part of HSBC group, so there’s some shared code there. And we’ve been testing them with staff for some time.

They no longer support current accounts (we actually turned off Easy Transfers for them today, since they no longer work!), but my understanding is they’re not shutting down their credit cards yet.

Next on our list is probably TSB, although they’ll take a little longer. And annoyingly, @Peter_G, you forgot them from your poll above

No one noticed! Or asked for them!

(I know I should be on poor performance for polling problems)

And I noted at the time that that alone tells you a lot :joy:

Our metrics suggest they still have a decent market share, though. So perhaps y’all are just biased

(Plus we already started an integration with them last year, so it makes sense to finish it!)

Isn’t there an Open Finance initiative to cover broader stuff like that?

I’m more excited for the next phase of open banking which will bring sweeps and money movement (on the basis of rules? :crossed_fingers:)

Edit to say: I’m totally here for mortgages too. Definitely needed!

You mean you don’t plan new features exclusively from my scientific and totally well planned and executed polling?!

Wow :smiling_face_with_tear: the power :open_mouth:

There are certainly some other things I’d like too…

Manage your newfound power responsibly, chosen one. :bowing_man:

Oh, it’s certainly taken into consideration! Just isn’t weighted super-highly

Can we please please have Virgin money credit cards added? I beg :joy:

I’m surprised at all the votes for Sainsbury’s Bank. What have they got?

Virgin Money are tricky because (at least when I last checked) they have two different APIs depending on when you signed up :see_no_evil:

Well I got a load of nectar points when I signed up and I get extra nectar points for all my spending. Given the amount I spend in there it works out well! Really hope to be able to connect it one day soon!

I second this, desperate for V Money Credit Cards

Aren’t they busy moving everyone from the old Virgin systems to the Clydesdale/Yorkshire/B platform?

Although I think their (terrible customer service) credit card operation is still separate though…

This, and 21 months of 0% on purchases. Very handy for a new iPhone round about now
