Go to Preferences → Users and you can add their name there I think as a work around.

Got it - thanks. Shame some have to behave in such ways.
I wish it worked properly, as in they didn’t appear at all, instead of the “ignored comment” thing.

Yep shame some people have to behave like children, thank god for the mute and ignore options but would be better if they could be got rid of completely from view instead of ignored message
