Chase UK Chat (Part 1)

Now that looks beautiful.

How does it feel to handle?

No different to a Monzo Plus card in comparison.

Just less shiny.

Not sure if it was excitement or just clammy hands (anxiety) but finger prints show easily  probably just me though.

Edit: updated the image to get a better colour representation.

Looks great. I like the personalisation on the packaging too.

Most banks do on a Saturday night. Santander also gave me warning for similar times.

Ain’t nobody really receiving cash at that time anyway in the real world.

Though everything works as normal.

I am in this group, atm.

It’s surely the most practical time for majority of workers to complete it with the least impact to the customer base.

I think this is the difference between the ones with in-house tech (Monzo / Starling) and all the others. For software updates, Monzo is literally making upgrades all the time…

Surely that can’t be true, can it?

Never fails to amaze just how granular these ā€œlook at the cardā€ threads get. :flushed:

Maybe just playing it safe asking for permission to use a brand logo

For every company or small independent places?

There is no way Monzo do that

I personally thought there was a database of merchant logos banks could just pull from.

Clearly I was wrong :joy: would make sense though by their merchant ID etc.

Twitter seems to be the most central place to get merchant logos from.

I know I’m about 300 comments behind, but reading your reactions, I’d say you’re right, Chase is half–baked, but it’s never claimed to be fully functioning.

Your disappointment is absolutely down to not managing your own expectations on its launch. Chase hasn’t promised anything it’s failed to deliver.

If it’s not for you, just open up another bank account for your bills, for a separate card. You have a choice of basically identical products at every single other bank in the UK. Chase are trying something different.

Does anyone have a spare invite code laying around? Guess it’s unlikely but worth a shot.

Hi Muhammad & welcome

ā€˜Unused’ rather than ā€œspareā€ I’d have thought - and each individual code may be specific to the email address they were sent to. So someone who has received a code and decided not to use it may not be able to pass it on to someone else. I used mine, so can’t test this theory unfortunately.
