Out of curiosity, how many times have you changed your details with your employers?
I think that, given the number of accounts this community has collectively, we may need a separate thread to discuss that
For me, it’s been three or four times a year since I discovered that they can pay into multiple accounts each month so I can get them to pay into the holiday account, the bills account, etc.
A few times, I’ve never had to speak with anyone, usually done through your payroll portal.
Bet they love you
Years back when I was still with Monzo, I switched my salary and a rather gruff person, who turned out to be the finance manager, appeared at the side of my desk and said in a very mancunian accent
“Now then lad, I hope you know what you’re doing banking with this Mickey Mouse Lot”
Worked fine, hopefully Chase is the same
Same here. Switched my salary bank account at work to Monzo through HR. A few weeks later, the MD sent me an email titled ‘Monzo?’ with this link: Subscribe to read (you probably don’t need to subscribe to read)
And an IPO resulting in increased shares followed by early retirement
So, you keeping us in suspense? Did you get paid to Chase today?
Sorry, yeah I got paid into Chase.
Weirdly failed to send my standing order to Revolut though, and that was after I was paid.
Not moved anything yet, but I don’t see any failed attempt in the app, is that normal?
Pay went in 0:37
SO attempted 1:17 but failed, no sign in the app to explain why, just a text saying will retry at 2pm.
Chase are sending out emails if your card is due to expire (if yours expires in 10/24).
Yeah, already seen mine.
“Your debit card is expiring – so you’ll soon get a new physical card in the post, and a new security code and expiry date in the app.”
“When we send you a new physical card, we’ll also update your card details in the app. This means you’ll have a new expiry date and security code, but your card number will stay the same.”
Regarding Chase US, over the weekend it became a viral social media trend, mainly on X, to cash fake checks into your Chase bank account or send your online banking details to someone else to “do it for you”
Genuinely interesting how stupid some people can be sometimes
If they end up with a criminal record they’ve only themselves to blame.
Got my new card today and design on the back is slightly different but that’s about it
100% must be imminent given those surveys 2 years ago for credit cards
They are updating the design for the card in Apple Pay - mine is showing debit in the top right-hand corner now.
Think that’s been around a few weeks now.
Coolio - mine hadn’t updated so I think they might be updating them automatically.
I’ve just activated a replacement debit card and it has automatically updated my Apple Pay design.
