And the wedding is off because he had to pay for the venue by direct debit
Reminds me of the Monzo adverts!
(In terms of tone and the question/answer format).
I thought that. And the first screenshot of the two help screengrabs above by @Jays6 is basically the script from Monzo when they first jumped from pre-paid to banking license. Ah, nostalgia.
EDIT: Itās the second screengrab that makes a difference thoughā¦
Why arenāt they wearing masks?
Canāt find 'owt to do with Google Pay. Or Joint Accounts.
I wonder if the release of chase will bring the Apple Card here soon
Has anyone seen any mention of cash? Is it possible to pay it in?
Ā£500 is decent, thatās more than both Monzo & Starling.
Finding your card details
If you want to find your card details, just open the Chase app and tap on the card above your accounts. Once youāre in the card management menu, tap āSee detailsā to be shown the card number, expiry date and CVC you can use for online shopping.
Returning or collecting something?
Payments made in store use a different set of card details to those used online. This is to help keep your account secure.
To see the card number used for a specific payment go to your transaction list and find the payment, tap it and then scroll to āCard ending withā.
If youāre returning something purchased in store, the merchant should be able to apply a refund straight to your card. If they ask to see the card number too, just follow the steps above.
Thatās interesting too, although Iām not totally convinced thereās a meaningful security benefit.
Iām confused with this one - my accounts (Personal/Joint) have a daily bank transfer** limit out (withdrawal) of Ā£10,000
**or did you mean ATM withdrawals? - of which I have a Ā£400 daily limit with the Joint Account and Ā£Unlimited daily limit at UK/EEA ATMās and Ā£600 daily limit at International ATMās with the Premium Personal account
Isnāt that the ATM limit?
I do think there will be staff in stores who might cause a stir if you donāt have the card with the card number on though.
I know they can refund on it still, but many stores will have a policy of staff checking the card is the same card. Be interesting to see how that goes.
I canāt wait for the pay-by-link feature to launch:
āchase.meā
Duncan Norvelle will be bathing in tenners with the royalties from this one.
I like a couple of bits of this, probably missed some of it as I havenāt read this topic much!
Cashback, only 1% but soon adds up. Free money is the best kind of money, but only for a year. Lame. Do they do any sort of pay for account in the US that keeps this feature?
I like the card with no numbers and then pay from where-ever you want, does that mean you can have multiple cards in ApplePay? Or when Iām at the checkout in Tesco I need to remember to repoint it to my shopping pot because it was on my clothes pot and Iāve just spent all that?
I would be surprised if they donāt continue it/replace it with something.
You get one card, including one in Apple Pay. You just set which account it will take money from when you spend.
I just know Iād forget to do this!
Itās not something that would make me switch but a nice little perk that you can ignore and let it accumulate.
I would like to think there is a fallback whereby if you spend from the account with no money it takes it from another account but initially it might be just something to remember.
Perhaps even a setting whereby it will spend from one account for a set period of time then automatically fall back to another. Eg. If I know my next hour will be on the tube I could say āSpend from this account for one hourā and then go back to the main account.
Iād⦠not imagine this will be the case at launch.
I think the benefit im seeing from Chase right now is the fact that i can:
- Have my Current Account
- Have a Bills Account (which has its own card number, account number and sortcode) so i can have bills and recurring card payment bills come out of.
A card that works for both accounts which i can flip between in the app.
- Cashback on everything
- Round ups and the interst thing aswell
I think overall it does alot of what Monzos pots does in a different way. It does seem appealing but i dont think i can give up being full Monzo
Possibly one of the most niche and old-school comments Iāve seen on this site! Bravo!
