New option in mobile banking to link loyalty cards to debit card

Any more details on how it works and whats accepted?
I haven’t looked into it yet tbh only found it late tonight
It has two cards on trail for loyalty and it’s through the launch app.
Just saw that, its in the launchpad app, and currently trailing it with Iceland and Harvey Nichols, and are planning to add more as the trial progresses.
They’ve partnered with Bink to do this.
Within Launchpad or the main banking app?
Launchpad
Currently getting a SF001 error upon trying to sign up.
I’ll try it again later.
Good idea,
I’m guessing add my nectar card and now I don’t have to scan it each time in store?
Where in the app is it? I don’t think it’s been rolled out to me
It’s on the launch pad app not the main Barclays app. It has limited loyalty cards at the moment.
As above, this is what’s available justnow. Bink have 130 at the moment, I imagine these will eventually be available.
So there’s a new ‘Spending’ section in the Barclays app. It shows categories, merchants and, oh, a spending graph
Yeah it’s been rolling out the last month or two. The graph also shows a comparison to the previous month.
It’s great to see the impact fintechs are having on the bigger players. In the end of the day we all win as customers.
I’m glad the big banks are paying attention and seeing how customers love fintechs and why.
Capital one now has instant notifications
It’s not available to everyone yet it’s on a gradual rollout.
Have no complaints about Barclays. App works well for me. Been with them for yonks. But I have Monzo and Starling for overseas expenses now. Barclays non-sterling fees and exchange rates are appalling. Barclays bank transfers are always very fast luckily but the app does have limits. Have to log onto the browser version to transfer more (daily).
Get rewards for DD set ups each month. View my Barclaycard easily also.
Now if only they could get advanced enough to support Google Pay
I could be wrong, but I seem to recall that it was their wish do it their way and not support Google Pay
