Did Barclays just bin off all merchant data?

Not one in my history when there were plenty before. Most certainly Greggs and McDonaldā€™s. Octopus energy doesnā€™t have it either.

I canā€™t say Iā€™ve ever noticed, to be honest. I only use my Barclays account for regular bills.

Sure you could know but if you can display the alert, why not display the company itā€™s going to. it feels a fairly intuitive thing to me.

The biggest problem for me is that I receive two amounts of monthly interest in my joint Premier account from 2 Barclays ISAs and these amounts are similar, but donā€™t say which ISA it applies to. The only way to find out is via the wealth hub on my wifeā€™s app and my app. It should be a lot easier than this.

Got a text today saying I qualified for the Ā£400 switch into Premier, didnā€™t expect that as I had a Barclays account before but hey, Iā€™ll take that for the win

Barclays blocked me yesterday from sending 4k from my Premier Account to Santander. Took 3 phone calls all over 30 mins each to get the block removed, I then had to reinstall the app and even then it didnā€™t unblock. Finally on the 3rd phone call they told me to use my debit card rather than the app on my iPad to authorise my phone.

Needless to say the switch out has started

They have just blocked me from using Monzo to move Ā£600 using the Monzo Add Money function.

Their fraud systems were shockingly bad when I worked there. When they say itā€™s been done, ask them to stay on the call while you put it through again as it may flag again.

Just opened a premier account. Once a few direct debits have been set up, itā€™s goodbye to First Direct.
