I collect Avios as well, and generally I value them at around 1p, so 1500 is worth £15. It’s not a massive saving at £12, although where it does improve is the annual upgrade voucher.
Also just in case anyone collecting Avios missed it, you can get 10k Avios for investing £500 with JPMorgan for 2 months, offer ends this week.

You can ‘boost’ the 1500 monthly Avios as well by buying 4500 more for slightly less than 1p/mile. I don’t do it but it’s an option…

So…. Barclaycard type change happened overnight. I saw it momentarily in the app and tried to add it to Apple Pay but it’s now disappeared completely. Hoping this is just #barclays and it will sort itself out.
I’ve always assumed they have a lower monthly target because if you’re in the 75k salary range you’re likely salary sacrificing to reduce your tax bill so a chunk of your income never hits your bank account.
Replying to own post… adding the ‘new’ card to Apple Pay at 6:30am was flagged as suspicious. 15 minutes on the phone and it’s back.

Did you remove and re-add your card? My Barclaycard account has been blocked every single time I do this.

Yup got mine as well. Easiest 10k Avios I’ve had.
If you’ve got a P2 or friend who’s interested, you can refer them now and you’ll get £100 Amazon gift card as well.
My £500 ‘pot’ is now worth £502 so I’m cashing out now I’ve got the Avios.

I still don’t fully understand my credit situation.
Barclays gave me a Overdraft when I got my Premier Account but whenever I apply for a Barclaycard i get turned down.
Back in Jersey I can get Charge / Credit Cards but never in the UK it seems even Credit Builders.
Seems UK and Credit don’t really like me
