As an avid user of the budgeting I’d love to be able to apportion cash taken out at ATMs to different budgeting categories depending on how I split the spending of the cash on groceries, entertainment etc. especially when the ATM has run out of £10 notes

I don’t think this will ever happen to be brutally honest. Monzo would really like you to never withdraw cash - so wouldn’t work ways to accommodate you doing it.

This has been suggested many times, not just for cash withdrawals.
For example, if you buy various things from the supermarket using your card, this may include a new game so that would be entertainment and groceries.
Have a quick search on the forum and I’m sure you’ll find the discussion surrounding this
