You’re just no longer eligible for insurance but the other perks remain.
As an update from the customer support team,
They are not ready for customers in Scotland. Only home addresses from England and Wales are supported at the moment.
I will wait it out till they launch in Scotland.
I didn’t really have any interest in signing up for Yonder, but now I’m tempted just to see what happens to your account if you move to Scotland (as I’m about to do)
Got a code if anyone wants to try it out: You've been sent 10,000 Yonder points
You’ll get 10,000 points if you choose a full card, 1,000 if you choose a free card (the full card comes with a 3 month free trial, cancel anytime). I will get 20,000/2,000 points if you sign up.
oh go on then. ta!
At least NI isn’t the odd one now this time
I managed to get an account and I’m based in Scotland.
In saying that the features are pretty much redundant to me unless I head to Manchester lol
When you read online it says it’s available in the UK, so i decided i would wait a while and try again to open an account which i am currently doing.
Was yours the debit card or the credit ? I wanted to go for the debit, not sure if it makes any difference or not.
Debit ![]()
I will give it another go soon and see how we get on ![]()
I have been presented: “We are not serving your region yet, we will let you know when we are ready for you” screen.
The wait continues…
I don’t think they even considered this with the debit card specifically, the whole Yonder debit thing seems to be setup as a “secured” Yonder credit card on their backend. Seems like the spending restrictions are the same as their credit cards, with a bizarre list of stuff you can’t spend on for a debit card
The onboarding / sign up flow was pretty broken, it errored and crashed on me a few times but got there eventually
Looks like they have refreshed the membership page; easier to check if you can get the credit card and easy upgrade and downgrade processes:
I’m pinning down where to put all my spending the next 12 months and I think it’s gonna be revolut as Yonder doesn’t have analytics yet.
I get you. This is why I third party my analytics (YNAB) so it doesn’t matter what bank I use or change to, all my data from years is there across various accounts.
Interesting. I am doing the same. I would choose Revolut, but I am frustrated by the Analytics not being able to be filtered to remove a virtual card (as is possible with Starling via a Space). It is nice to remove holiday spending and some other things.
If you assign the card to a pocket, it doesn’t add it to the analytics I think.
Edit: I lied, it does ![]()
63k points! Think of all the free food.
Honestly, I think I’d rather put those 63k points toward a great meal! I recently used £50 worth of points at Daffodil Mulligan - had the beef tartare and bone marrow, and it was absolutely heavenly ![]()
