Have you turned magstripe on?

Yes. Turns out that it only works with magstripe. Thinking about it, I only use this card when abroad and I always had problems withdrawing but was in places I could pay for everything by card. I think the chip has always been damaged and most of the small atms must be chip only as they were litewrally not able to read the card. cheers
