Very limited first hand experience! Might be helpful if you have a connecting flight!
My experience is only airport based as we had connecting flight. Monzo been used via Apple Pay. Didn’t have any problem. In airport in one the shops had option to directly charge UK pound so I opted for those. McDonald’s took charge in Jordanian local currency. Monzo worked fabulously.
With wifi, obviously it gave live updates.
