This might be a good idea but have a think about the future and what you might need to borrow. i.e. if you repay the student loan now, will you need to borrow more on a future mortgage or loan?
I called up today to get this paid off and they told me that this balance is actually for March meaning I’ve already overpaid. they are waiting on HMRC to let them know but the guy on the phone took my account details for the refund and advised me it would take 28 working days to appear and this is purely because they need to wait on HMRC to send them the last payment information.
So if anyone is looking at this balance then bear in mind that the timestamp below the value is actually misleading
