Low apr and high credit limit - just for emergencies
Is it better than Paypal credit?
Low APR? What’s low these days?
Nationwide called me this morning, apparently the issue making balance transfers via just the card number has been fixed.
Loads have allegedly reported the problem and Nationwide have been to and fro with Zopa whom said this should work.
Will find out in the next few days. I’m not hopeful, but will update.
7.9%. A year or so ago just over 10 for me now but hopefully will come down again soon - I have excellent credit ratings except for Monzo as all my income goes into the joint account so SWMBO can make sure I’m not wasting a penny more on classic cars now I’m retired …
Out of curiosity I’ve just completed an eligibility check and they’re willing to offer me 29.2% APR.
That’s without any purchase or balance transfer offers. That’s poor. Think I’ll stick to the High Street.
I just have some savings with Zopa. I’ve just been advised on my credit insights of a soft search from Zopa. I know soft searches are not detrimental but why would they do a soft search if I’ve no intention of being a borrower or having a credit card?
Sometimes banks softsearch you as part of know your customer regulations, or just to see if they can offer you something else. Their t’s & c’s generally allow them to do this. Nothing to worry about!
Yes - I often get soft-searched when opening a cash or S&S ISA. Just KYC stuff.
My balance transfer finally arrived from Nationwide to Zopa, using the credit card number as requested from Nationwide.
Happy days.
I really wish to know how balance transfers work and which cards/providers accept sending and receiving it.
Cause as far as I can tell Monzo Flex does not support this. Neither balance transfer in, or out.
I think checks are for “Borrowing Power” and personalised offers in app
Did I see that Zopa is going to be launching Current Accounts?
Yep - they said they’ll be launching before the end of this year for existing customers.
I’m curious as to what they will do to stand out and be different when it comes to current accounts.
Seem to have changed the in app colour at the top?
Does anyone know, once your balance transfer is paid off, what happens to the limit available for balance transfers? Does it merge to your card spending limit? Or another balance transfer offer appear?
Thinking about their current account launch, their app would need a bit of work to make it considerable.
Notifications are silent too.
Noticed colour change.
No info about other things, not using Zopa so long, yet
Zopa finally allowing revolut for direct debits - even though their app still says no Chase, Revolut or Starling unless already linked to another product.

2% cashback on direct debits, and 7.5% regular saved up to £300pm.
Currently in beta and sounds like a small few already invited by email.
Do…not…need…another…bank…account
Edit: put some money in a savings pot so they know I exist just in case they ask for more beta testers!
