Zopa Bank Chat

It’s not a jammie dodger! Looks like a jam sandwich cream.

Also the card is upside down.

Bet it tastes the same tho.

Their customer service really takes the biscuit :money_mouth_face:

Other banks I’ve been with will retry the direct debit and allow you some time on the day to get extra funds in the account. Not Zopa, you only get one chance overnight. I’ve been caught out with that, though luckily Octopus Energy automatically retry about 10 days later so not too much of an issue.

Zopa have offered me £5 to use Apple Pay within a week. I’d added the card some time ago but never used it yet.

Heads up — if you spend on your Zopa debit card using Apple Pay within a week of receiving this email, we’ll give you £5!*

Easy £5!

Very minor app update this evening - new splash screen with the new logo.

Still surprised they’ve launched the cards with the old logo though.

Still surprised they launched it with a dumb name to be fair

The current account name is odd, but I signed up anyway due to the linked saver.

It’s a shame the connection isn’t available in Monzo. It’s really noticeable for the accounts that don’t have support (Co-op, now Zopa too)

Zopa’s Open Banking support is pretty new - they only opened it in early June (as per Developer Portal- Planned Updates and Maintenance) so hopefully it’ll be on Monzo’s roadmap

I would be so underwhelmed if I signed up, and didn’t receive a tin of biscuits.

Has the Insights feature disappeared from anyone else’s app?

My Linked Accounts still appear, and I can view the transaction list for each of them them individually, but the whole Insights section has vanished for me and I can’t find how to get it back!

Mine is there. It’s under the “For You” section accessed via the bottom left square (currently telling me how many transactions I made at Tesco last month)

The cashback from ZOPA is limited to 2% of £1500 pounds’ worth of spending i.e. £30.

So, yes, better than Santander Edge but not as much as 123Lite. (I’m still feeling quite grumpy about 123Lite being scrapped)

I closed my accounts . Got my £30 cashback from the 2% direct debits and got my 2% interest on the balances. Nothing amazing really about the account. Scared some direct debits don’t work or they don’t attempt to take payment again so decided to close the accounts. Be warned tho once you close your account a message came up stating you wouldn’t be able to reapply.

Have you experienced this yourself, or were you just worried about this because its a relatively new bank?

Actually experienced it myself when two direct debits didn’t go out . I had money in the account and everything was set up properly.
