But I have a Smart Saver, we both do. With multiple pots.
Upon chatting with support, I deleted and reinstalled the app - lo and behold, the ISA option appeared, along with some other options that weren’t there before.
Has anyone had any dealings with Zopa re Open Banking? I’d love to see my Zopa balances in Monzo and I’m guessing it’s Zopa’s fault that I can’t…
When open banking was launched I thought there was a rule that all providers of payment accounts must provide access to those accounts via open banking. Zopa’s credit card account is a payment account so I would have expected that Zopa would provide access to this account via open banking, but they don’t. However, they’re by no means the only payment account provider that doesn’t provide open banking access, so I’m thinking that my understanding of this rule is probably incorrect.
They also don’t provide access to their savings accounts via open banking. However for this they are definitely under no obligation to provide access and its pretty normal for savings banks to provide no access via open banking. I suspect this will only change if FCA change the rules.
Question re Auto Save. Does that create a regular DD with Monzo once setup? I went through the process and Zopa say it’s setup but in Monzo there is nothing yet under scheduled payments…
Direct debits take up to 5 working days to set up so depends how long you’ve waited?
Could just be my impatience then! I wondered if regular payments setup via Truelayer are actually the same thing as a direct debit…
Ah if it’s to just drag the money out then no there’s nothing to show for that.
When the first payment leaves you might be able to tap and then tap repeating payment to on, for it to show in the scheduled section.
That might be annoying as I wanted to pay from a pot! Might cancel it and see if I can do a standing order instead…
You can do it once it’s first taken I think.
Or if you know how much, put it in a pot and set scheduled withdrawal from pot on the day it’s due. Same thing almost.
Looks fine for me
Figured out the issue, I use a DNS level ad blocker and disabling that and reopening the app loaded some interstitial advert for one of their products which i dismissed and the accounts appeared again.
Im presuming they introduced tracking callbacks into those interstitials which were being blocked and the app doesn’t present an error.
Will have to reconsider them as a platform if they’re expanding telemetry and making accounts disappear until you make them work!
Mine is working fine
Sadly quite a few banks have trackers, I have the same issue. I often have to close and reopen the app in order for it to work.
Re their ISA offer, I think I’m correct in saying you can open it before the new ISA rules kick in on April 7th even if you have an ISA elsewhere, just so long as you don’t put any money in it until after April 6th.
Is anyone else unable to see their accounts in the Zopa app on Android?
Support says it’s a known issue, and there is no timescale for fixing it… lovely.
I can see mine. Have you looked at the ad blocker issue described yesterday in case the same applies to you?
Thank you for pointing it out. That was the issue. Unbelievable. Why on earth do they need to include trackers in their app? Aren’t they happy with all the money we deposit with them? What a bunch of idiots.
You need to deposit at least £1 to open it*, so you can’t open it if you’ve used your £20K allowance or funded another Cash ISA. Also, it’s April 6th that the new tax year starts.
*according to their CS agents.
