As other posters pointed out, this is not how it works with hotels. Visa Infinite/Mastercard WE might get status matched/fast-tracked into hotel loyalty programmes from time to time, but unless it’s a cobranded card, it won’t be the highest tier. Even if you have the highest tier in a point/night-based hotel loyalty programme, upgrades and premium guest status are still deprioritised compared with other premium booking channels and actual VIP guest recognition. > [@gt94sss2](#): > > Could you expand on the acronyms above? So in other words Zing is kind of pointless with regard to visa infinite? I’m a bit confused now tbh ---

No. Whilst it doesn’t have any HSBC provided benefits, you will get the car hire ones (which are very worthwhile) and may get some hotel benefits. ---

I don’t think people should expect much out of a free account and card that anyone can get, regardless of kind of Visa it is. ---

So just used my Zing Card at Spoons and the bar tender said “Ahhh another Zing User” I was like “Ummm yeah…” He said me if im enjoying it and just said “Yeah, better then Revolut” and he laughed 🤣 Small world! ---

I see Zing have launched a referral scheme for existing customers to refer new ones. You need to open a new account and spend a minimum of £5 to qualify for £20 ---
