TLDR - Eligibility appears to be to have an active account with Yorkshire Building Society opened before 1 January 2020.
Can be opened only in branch or by post.

I have a Virgin Money current account, which is part of YBS, do you think that counts? my guess is NO
Yorkshire Bank and Yorkshire Building Society are seperate entities
Virgin Money are to do with the former.
Think I’d be eligible as I’ve had a Help to Buy with Yorkshire BS for some time, but not worth the effort if you can’t open it online

Also worth noting that the small print says that customers with existing accounts at Chelsea Building Society are eligible (since it’s a brand of Yorkshire).
