Haha, I doubt it. His response so far seems to be doubling down:

And retweeting:

What is his obsession with the UK?

Its genuinely mind boggling.

You would have thought that as a businessman he would not want to advertise the fact he’s a total lunatic. Although I guess you could say the same thing about people like Trump etc.

Maybe it’s just a case of “I have all the f-you money in the world now, so I do what I want”

Do you think Brazilians will return to Twitter? Imagine a few governments might be watching closely.

Unlikely. Moving between social networks is an effort and I don’t see people would rush to switch back.

Also, bluesky has the advantage that it’s decentralised so shouldn’t be as vulnerable to rogue, Musk-style leadership ruining the platform in future.

This is true, but switching back to a previous social network has much less friction in comparison to setting up a new one, as the old network of contacts would still be there.

The length of time that X is banned will be a huge factor, though.

Frustratingly, it’s not currently operating in a particularly decentralized mode. It’s just decentralization capable. Unlike Mastodon, it’s a bit harder to just spin up another place if you don’t like the person in charge.

Glad to see Bluesky is doing well though.
