What’s your financial set up?

I don’t buy disposable. It’s reusable, majority is the liquids and then some coils which last a while.

Far cheaper than smoking which are around £16-18 for 20 now I think :worried:

I picked up a box of 5 golden something tobacco when I went away last for a family member to say thanks for looking after my dog. Cost me £30ish. They said it would be £200ish in the UK.

Crazy prices.

It is insane. I bought a 30g pouch the other day for someone and it was £25 or something.

If you learn a few lines of Turkish you can pay like £6 at a lot of places :joy:

You could also try iQOS or Ploom. They’re a lot cheaper. Ploom is like £5 a pack iirc and iQOS £7. Chinese cigarettes are crazy cheap though - can buy a carton of Marlboro (menthol) for £25 or so.

Smoking is a nope for me  which is weird as I did smoke for near 20 years

Been on the vape 3 years now I think.

@jo curious what your main accounts are right now? Are you planning on stoozing 0% student overdraft?

Currently at

Monzo - salary, bills, spending, emergency fund (3.5%)

Nationwide - 5% savings

Co-op - 7% reg saver

Chase - 4.5% savings

--

Over the summer I’ll be opening FlexStudent, and in general I’m thinking of moving salary and spending to Nationwide. Bills will still be in Monzo virtual cards, and emergency fund will sit happily in 3.65% select access once my 0.25% bonus with Monzo expires in August (hence it’s currently just in instant access).

The reason I’ve got money in chase is that’s my short term savings, whereas Nationwide is my medium term savings!

These four multiple times a day. Definitely some sort of ADHD / Autism sort of thing.

I have kept my word and not opened a current account in what…2 weeks now? So that’s a positive.

For current accounts a lot of banks let you link other ones with open banking to see them all on one screen so that can help a bit

I only check some when I see them mentioned here. Things like Monzo, Revolut, Algbra, Santander, TSB, CO-OP. Cards locked, no overdraft, no continuous payment authority, no direct debits, no payees apart from myself.

I check Lloyds like social media, Chase at least once a day, FD once weekly, RBS, Natwest, Nationwide when needed.

Wow you still have Algbra?

I’ve got algbra. The app is quite laggy (not an issue with my phone) and they’re an EMI so I’d never fully trust them. They’re also not profitable.

I remember using them years ago for the cashback

I am a collector

Had a clear out. Somehow it had crept up to like 7 cards when I normally have 4. Binned off Lloyds Ultra, I don’t like the app and I don’t really want to have another app.

All dark over here.

Waiting for Lloyds to sort their notifications out :joy:

Wasn’t planning on it. As it’ll look terrible on my credit report. The interest if get on it can easily be outweighed by 4 hours overtime. It’s really not worth it (the overdraft)

Good lad but it can get you exited from banks too

Pretty sure overdraft use doesn’t impact you like credit card usage does.
