What do the different colour next to friends contacts mean?
I have a range of colours some with their initials bold others not, some with photographs.
Do they have a specific meaning?
Colours are random I think. Initials is default, other pictures are because people have replaced the initials.
As I understand it, if there is no image to show for an account (perhaps they are not on Monzo, or they have not defined one), the contact’s initials are used, and a colour is derived (probably an algorithm is used to choose this to maintain consistency), as a placeholder.
