What are the interest rates on a child account please

Hello. Can someone let me.know the interest rates on the child accounts please.

My son is 7 and has some money already and I’m wanting to know if he will be better off moving it or not.

I recall you asking the same question in the main thread as I offered the same response as above.

I’ve still not seen the official answer as I have not signed up for the kids card.

Perhaps someone who has can oblige :thinking:

This topic is likely to be merged with the main one, however, despite being raised at least twice (the search function found two) I haven’t located a Monzo response, so a separate thread, until answered/resolved, seems appropriate.

There’s no indication on a kids account that there is any interest at all.

Actually yes, because it relates to the child account the team are monitoring and can respond to.

This query is exactly what the team need to see, in the thread about the child account.

And EVERYONE is ignoring the answer. There’s none. There’s no interest. There is no mention of it in-app or in any of the email correspondence.

If there was interest it would be a top feature, suitably visible. We are interest-free here.

Asking the question in it’s own thread is hardly spamming.

My son has a considerable amount of money which is earning interest where it currently is, I would like to move it from there to Monzo if it’s beneficial for him. Which is why I want to know.

Monzo don’t recommend this as part of their T&Cs.

These terms would be worthwhile reading before you apply, as they will help you understand more about the account.
