Regarding Pot-to-Pot transfers – “you can now move money between personal and joint accounts Pots directly (something we know was a big bug-bear for you!)” in post #1 by @georgiajohnson
About 10 days ago, I was able to make a withdrawal from my (personal) Instant Access Savings Pot and, much to my delight, I found that I could choose either our Joint Monzo account or my Personal Monzo account to receive the funds - I chose the Joint Monzo and that worked fine. The funds actually went Savings > Personal then Personal > Joint (i.e. as 2 actions) rather than directly Savings > Joint in one action, but whatever - I only had to do 1 action to achieve what used to require 2 actions. Result.
But today my Personal Monzo account is the only possible destination for a withdrawal from the Instant Access Savings Pot.
Curious to understand why this particular action has changed back to how it used to be!
Was it something that shouldn’t have been allowed to happen?
Or has something unforseen been discovered about doing this?
Were you also able to apply once the “changes to JA” stuff went live last month? My application sat in pending essentially for 3 weeks before they declined.
No rational at all on this. Incredibly frustrating.
You can’t anymore I don’t think. Previously you were able to do this via the app. You could never directly add to wallet as you would need to activate it in card first.
But I think they’ve changed it and you now need to wait for the physical card to arrive.
Being able to pay from pots from virtual cards (would be great to create a groceries pot that food shopping is paid from) and having custom categories would make Plus/Premium on my JA an instant purchase, if available.
Quite late to using a bills pot to pay direct debits, but really loving the functionality and clarity over what is ringfenced for committed outgoings.
I sometimes make a purchase on the wrong card/account. It would be awesome if you could move the transaction to the other account within a certain timeframe. Similar to how you can flex payments after they are made.
