First bit of feedback - I happened to make some overpayments on my loan this month from my personal account. These are showing up in the calendar as scheduled payments. I wouldn’t expect these to be there but I would expect to see the recurring amount.
Are the adhoc payments marked as recurring on the transaction screen?
I’m happy this is being worked on, as it looks great and is helpful to visualise the month in this way, opposed to the list view currently.
Two bits of initial feedback:
The bar at the bottom confused me at first; thought I had to swipe up to see more, but then realised I needed to select a date with a payment on it for it to load.
The current date box doesn’t look great, but that’s just personal preference. I’d prefer it to be similar to iOS, where only the number is highlighted instead of the whole section.
I hope merchant data corrections are started again, as this screen would look less inviting for those with payments to companies who have no logo in Monzo.
Looks like it could also pre empty direct debits going out on a Sunday and move them to the following working day.
I’d also like to see a total amount (£) for the whole month somewhere on this calendar view.
Looks like I’m in, thank you!
First bit of (very nit picky) feedback:
When I select a day and I see its bills, I can swipe down by touching the bills themselves, but not the drawer tab itself (which I’m used to doing on other apps). Touching the drawer tab (the little line above the bill details) doesn’t respond. Not sure if that’s intended?
I’m curious to see what it looks like for people that have most of their bills go out on the same day
They’re labelled ‘monthly’ so yes.
I would really appreciate this too.
All of them? Can you not turn off recurring on the two adhoc you made to balance it?
I imagine it’s seeing loan payment and automagically assuming it’s a recurring payment. I don’t think there’s a way to ‘turn off recurring’ either on the new view or manually on the payment (which I wouldn’t want to have to do each time).
There are 9 bills which are paid from our joint account on the 1st of each month. The new calendar bumped these to the 2nd this month (correctly, as the 1st fell on a Sunday) - here is what the display for multiple payments looks like (look at 02-February):
It shows a max of 4 icons per day. It’s shown as:
- 1 large icon (1 payment)
- 2 small icons (2 payments)
- 3 small icons (3 payments)
- 4 small icons (4 or more payments)
Thanks. The more I look at it the more I think that an actual calendar view isn’t the best idea for seeing bills once you have more than a handful, especially with multiple bills on the same day. Maybe an agenda or schedule view would be better? Especially on a phone screen.
Great feature,
- I would like to see a total for the months bills.
- I consider some of my standing orders as ‘bills’ can these be included?
- It seems adhoc flex payments are included as a bill. I dont think adhoc payments should be included (or give me a option to disable flex payment entirely)
- A lot of my bills are missing, my water bill, Vmedia, DVLA, mortgage are not showing… I only see my council tax, phone and a few other subscriptions. Any advice?
- Rather than for bills can it it more of a general account calendar, i.e pay day and scheduled payments
Completely agree with the bar at the bottom, I did the exact same thing. It feels like you’ve got to do something even with it saying select a day.
This is all very well but only a few of my Direct Debits are marked as recurring. The rest are monthly but have no option to mark them as recurring.
Does Monzo need to see a certain number of payments around a month apart before it decides that they are recurring?
I think this is why I am unable to view some of my direct debits on the calendar, there is no option to mark some of them as a reoccurring.
I.E both of these are direct debits… ID Mobile shows as a subscription when it is a direct debit, and my Vmedia correctly shows as a direct debit with no option for reoccurring
When I open a card transaction and scroll down there is a toggle for me to set it as repeating (on iOS anyway)
Monzo does flag some automatically as repeating as well sometimes.
I’m referring to direct debits, though.
Looks like I didn’t make the cut despite (as far as I can tell) signing up fairly early
@LizM am I being dense and looking in the wrong place?
