I doubt it’ll be opened up in its current state with no IBANs or anything. There’s also still over 5000 people on the waitlist, so even if they get another 2000 off it by the end of the month, that would be doubling the user base overnight. And that’s ignoring the waitlist will be bigger by then as well.
Until they get IBANs off the ground, it will be a bit of a novelty for most people.

You actually don’t need the IBAN for now. You can just top up your account using your current bank card, and you can set up any bills or subscriptions to come straight off the Monzo card using the card details. Once the IBANs are fully up and running, you’ll be able to move your wages over easily.
I am currently on the waitlist, I had been moving 200 places per weekday. Since, Monday I have not moved, so i’d say they’re slowing down the new applications as they don’t wanna pay out the €25 
Interesting to note, my friend who is much higher up the list has moved yesterday and Tuesday, but I didn’t - so how accurate is it?
Unlikely to be because they don’t want to pay out the €25, more likely because they have enough people for now to get good enough data to be able to start tweaking stuff for the full launch later in 2026. They may well tweak and then onboard more later to test with an increased customer base again.
If they were truly stopping onboarding they’d likely get rid of the join waitlist button from the website and dwindle the list down slowly to 0 before launching fully

Hey @JamesR there was days I didn’t move… I sat at 27 for 3 days then bang, got a notification to say onboarding can now happen. I trust you will be in the app soon. Do let us know how it goes?

Havent moved up list at all i dont think. Im 3788 position, it wokt allow you do anything such as refer etc
You just need to wait; there’s no fixed time you move up the list, as is suggested in “waitlist”.
It’s likely Monzo are rounding up the waitlist and everyone will just bump up once teething issues are resolved.

Is there a end date for waiting list I Abit close but still far away last check about 122 on list. I have send out so many referrals to everyone on phone. It has help me get up the list but l feel like it be so long
Im dying to try out this new bank when it launches as i lost my revolut account since 2022 akd havent beong able to function since had to deal.with trying to lodge all my cash to husbanda ba k to pay the bills
