Oooopsss… Sorry
I was expecting a super shit hot interest rate, but it’s 1-2.50%.
Does anyone have any experience with VM Packaged account?
Mainly Green Flag breakdown cover, and mobile phone cover being utilised?
It’s slightly cheaper than FlexPlus and I’m penny pinching at the moment.
I used to have a VirginMoney account but left ASAP. They froze my account and wouldn’t let me do anything for 72 hours.
That happens with a lot of banks, it’s happened to me with both Monzo and Santander
Eggs, baskets
Yeah my savings arent with a bank for this exact reason
Under the mattress?
Don’t tell everyone!
All my savings are currently with Ulster Bank due to their 5.2% saver. And if they freeze the transfer when I need to withdraw it all? I always wanted to see the Giant’s Causeway anyway!
You can check out the Ballycastle branch when you’re in the area
Didn’t you want to have the nationwide regular saver at 6.5%?
I don’t believe in regular savers that have pay in limits and maturity dates. I have the RBS/NatWest regular savers and then the rest is sitting as a lump sum. I don’t want to mess about with standing orders and tracking money for the sake of pennies.
True. I do get that. However I think if you paid in £200 each month for 12 months it works out at £85 interest I think . Not bad really. Even if you put the lump sum in the account and auto set it for £200 for 12 months you could just forget about it really.
VM are offering a 10.38% AER on a Regular Saver account launched today
Can I sign up for this? Can’t tell if it’s saying you had to have a current account in the past
It’s a nice rate just don’t know if it’s worth opening another account for. I have 3 current accounts and so many savings accounts. Don’t know I can be bothered managing another
From what I can tell, you can sign up for a current account now and then open the regular saver.
Interesting that they’re still launching new things given that they’ll be part of Nationwide by Easter. Also that they’re beating my current 8% regular savings at Nationwide.
I like the cumulative aspect and that you don’t have withdrawal limitations as you do in almost all similar accounts.
