Should be able to edit your nickname on there under the Per-server Profile settings. Name changes are free.

FWIW - Iāll remain, itās an easy enough place to talk about general banking, and occasionally Monzo. Itās quite refreshing to see that Monzo still supports the idea that banking is bigger than itself and therefore so is the forum. I hope that continues.

Is privacy only useful for criminals then?
Right now, even a joking hint of criticism towards Trump (for example) can get you rejected from entry to the US. Not to mention all the other governments in the world who apply similar criteria to their entry (and arrest) policies.
Ultimately these are public discussions by their nature. This forum is searchable on google. We donāt need a signal chat lol.

Without clear answers to these questions, this risks coming across as yet another unfulfilled promise. As you can see, people are now viewing this as the final straw, and some are choosing to leave the community as a result. Itās more important than ever to show that concerns are genuinely being heard and addressed.

The point Michael was making was whatever you would say here can be said on Discord.
If anything, Discord is slightly more private as you need to join it to see it - Discourse you donāt need an account to view any posts.
It really isnāt as deep as youāre making it.

The freedom of speech thing is, as far it looks, is about swearing, not for example Monzo stopping anyone having a go at the product, unless Iām mistaken?
As for the DM stuff, it aināt my platform, Iāve used them sparingly over the years, so for me its marginal thing in the grand scheme of things.

Thereās more to it that that.
For example, many posts were frequently flagged and hidden simply because some users disagreed with the opinions shared. This issue was raised multiple times by the community as a source of frustration, but rather than being addressed, discussions were often just locked, and we havenāt received any updates since.

The community is more than just the people who have left for the Discord and I donāt hear many people complaining at all. Iāve joined the Discord myself but have no intention of deleting my account and posts here - thereās too much valuable information that people have posted which will be absent on the Discord.

Itās kinda disappointing but if thatās what the folks want 
This place can be testing, probably less so lately since my ban (maybe thatās growth ) but I hope it doesnāt die out.
So many nice, smart thinking people, some not so, but thatās the nature of the internet.
Hopefully the community does come more ārewardingā.
