TV Shows!

The first book (Wool) covers more than Series 1. I think parts 1-3 are in series 1 and then after that is likely to be series 2 based on what’s I’ve seen in the trailers. I did also buy it cheap but have enjoyed reading it which is not like me. I think knowing most of the characters from watching series 1 first did help my attention as one of the biggest issues for me when reading normally is remembering who the characters are called

I read all the time, prefer it to watching stuff haha. They are next on my list, quite looking forward to it.

Tempted to buy the books myself. I rarely read. Only generally do when I’m on holiday but have been looking at trying to read more at night than sitting watching TV.

Gave audio books a shot and listened to ready player one. Have ready player two to listen to bit Wil Wheaton’s voice does my tits in.

I can’t do audiobooks, my mind wanders and before you know it I’ve not heard a single word for the last chapter. :joy:

I currently use a Kobo Libra Colour after a decade of Kindle.

I’m rewatching Star Trek TNG right now. Will Wheaton does my tits in.

I was never a fan of TNG. Voyager was always the best for me, followed by DS9.

You are right about Wheaton though. An irritant.

DS9 is my fav. Closely followed by TNG. But I have to watch in order :face_with_peeking_eye:

Well… with DS9 being the first serialised Star Trek series, you would struggle to follow if you didn’t.

I might have to give TNG another go one day.

Out of interest, what did you think of Discovery?

I’m too old to enjoy Discovery.

I enjoyed Season 1 but the rest was a little disappointing.

I have to watch in order of series. TNG then DS9. I’m not gonna watch random episodes of DS9 depending on how I feel

Personally really enjoyed it. The first series felt a bit weird and was a bit predictable at times (don’t want to spoil one of the twists in case some haven’t watched but it was sooooo obvious) but still entertaining despite that

They need to give up with the retconning. Discovery solved that a little with the jump but the history is so rich that they need to concentrate on the future.

TNG is king!
I have just watched nearly all in the past year (nearly done DS9 again)

Discovery season 1 was good, the rest got worse and worse and I was a big Trek fan

Enterprise found its feat in the later seasons but damn that theme tune…

Voyager is good then DS9 for me.

Strange new worlds is good and has more of a classic Trek feel over Discoverys later seasons but I do hate the musical episode.

I really enjoyed Strange New Worlds. Looking forward to Section 31 in January too.

Also thought Lower Decks was good, which is surprising as I usually dislike anything animated.

I only ever liked the original series of Star Trek  I did enjoy Discovery season 1 though and Lower Decks is fun.

Black Doves on Netflix is really good - worth a watch!

I’ve just started delving into Yellowstone. Absolutely bonkers, but great fun. Rip is a legend! And Beth… well, she’s Beth :face_with_peeking_eye:

Under the deal between Sky’s parent company Comcast and WBD, the ad-supported versions of WBD’s Max and Discovery+ services will be bundled for Sky customers from April 2026.

Pac-man episode of Secret Level was a bit weird.
