Same here old image in Gpay. Also their Cash ISA is flexible so you can take money in and out at will
Possibly, but just as a secondary account. I’m happy with NatWest.
This will also stay with NatWest. As of today, it’s in a NatWest 1 Year ISA at 4.4%. It will take 3-5 days to withdraw in an emergency, with an interest penalty charge.
I don’t need immediate access. My business can lend money to me, if something serious happens and I can’t wait 3 days for my ISA to release. I also keep a healthy buffer in my Current.
The Triodos offering does look decent though. I may apply later today. Hopefully I won’t get selected for a bunch of extra checks this time. ![]()
you won’t be happy with the spending push though as it tells you the amount but not the merchant (even if it vibrates)
Stocks and Share ISA opened today, I applied when I got on the Tube, when I got to the next stop, the account was already opened and showing in my app.
I also used the website chat to ask if I could remove my older switched out accounts from display, I opened the chat window started typing and before I could finish, Laura joined and asked me what I wanted.
Got to admit this does feel a very different bank from the one I tried to use previously.
Only downside today was I sent £500 to my S&S ISA at 8pm, but it hasn’t appeared, but this could be Santander holding the payment back, or the ISA cash account being more traditional office hours based.
You want to first reach 12? ![]()

LOL, I just want to reduce the number of apps on my phone, Revolut is next, RBS switch finishes next week so thats another app gone.
Just to update the soft search situation, they’ve run two soft checks, both with Experian. No hard checks at all for Triodos.
suppose it makes sense jo as they don’t offer borrowing of any kind to individuals
Ah yes, sorry Carl should have said it normally takes a few days for them. You will get an email from them when open.
As you saw from the email they sent they really do some background checks, it’s not just a computer
Yet my account was opened in 11 minutes…
You won’t have much of a background to check yet ![]()
Having opened 8 accounts with them over the years I can state my experience has been 5 working days on average, longest was 10 days I pinged them and they asked for some proof of income
My account still hasn’t progressed from what seems over a week ago.
Weird. Recently opened two joint accounts with them and they were open, with the cards added to Google Pay, within minutes.
It happens.. hang in there are soon you will have your green debit card for your collection
Do they have vibrations?
Surprisingly, yes. And the ability to create a PDF for payments made or received.
