Traitors (TV show)

As with any The Rest is Entertainment podcast, it is a clickbait title with hosts who have a superiority complex. Which is a shame, because I really like Richard Osman. Marina brings out the worst in him. It does have interesting tidbits though.

I just dont really care too much about these sorts of conversations and discussions, especially with reality TV. If itā€™s entertaining, Iā€™ll watch. And the traitors is entertaining.

I guess for me itā€™s different because I had a stint working in TV so I love these sorts of conversations (I do miss it a little, but Iā€™d never go back!)

This sort of debate/criticism doesnā€™t put me off though. I always end up watching shows like this with my mind trying to figure out whatā€™s going on behind the scenes.

Heā€™s right there though. The producers wonā€™t allow all the traitors to be caught until the end. So you know thereā€™ll be traitors until at least the last table. So why bother?

If anything itā€™s better to keep someone you know is a traitor there until the end then you vote them out when they canā€™t be replaced.

Although in theory, it may be easier to spot a recruited traitor of their behaviour suddenly changes overnight so it could be argued that youd want more recruited traitors. Its also normally quite hard to actually tell who is a traitor or how many their are so id rather actually try to vote them out just to know for sure

Itā€™s never been a huge number though. At the beginning itā€™s useless trying.

The thing I might do is provide a prize for getting a traitor to add to the pot.

This is the way to play it, right? If youā€™re being game focused and ruthless, youā€™d make best friends with Linda (or obvious Traitor of your choice) so sheā€™ll protect you, tell her theyā€™re no way she could ever be a traitor, then bus her at the end

But this is what the Producers might do to counteract. Or stimulate greedy Traitors to backstab. :eyes:

Caught up over the weekend.

I think Fozia is a shrewed player, not sure Iā€™m overly a fan of her to be honest. I wonder if it hadnā€™t been obvious would she have let Anna have the card? Also Iā€™m not sure if letting her go back was the mercy she believes it to be. Anna is going to get voted out, so all she did was prolong the poor girls pain :joy:. I found Leonā€™s total lack of a poker face during the game brilliant entertainment!

I was sad to see Dan go, like Claudia said he was a strong faithful. But Minah is playing a blinder and I think eventually she would have needed to sacrifice him anyway. I did laugh when she was banging on about trusting people and having her trust betrayedā€¦ gurlā€¦ :joy: (obviously Iā€™m aware itā€™s part of the game, which makes it all the more exciting to watch!)

Now Linda, hands down my favourite! Sheā€™s just so entertaining to watch. The ridiculousness of her general gameplan right now! The crying was my favourite, ā€œshe was my little girl!ā€ and the looks of disbelief from Leanne and Jake. Television gold! :joy::joy::joy:

To be fair I think most of her voteoutishness was due to the Rope Tying incident (which isnā€™t really that bad in the grand scheme, just a lack of anything to go on) - I think if she gets the right people on side with her narrative re: the card game and recruitment sheā€™ll probably last a little bit longer.

I think with the changes theyā€™ve made to the final, even if Anna manages to get to the end of the game, thereā€™s not a chance sheā€™s touching that money. Same with Freddie.

The faithful wonā€™t know if theyā€™ve got rid of any traitors at the end. Would they really end the game with both Freddie and Anna present with all the doubts they have around them?

Thatā€™s the reason why I feel like this ending will be more interesting than usual as itā€™ll make it tense as the faithful will be paranoid incase they havenā€™t gotten all the traitors and at the same time giving the traitors that sense of hope

If you was in The Traitors, which role will you want to be a Faithful or Traitor?

i feel like its easier to win the show if youā€™re a traitor.

If i was a faithful ill have to worry about getting banished or murdered, being a traitor i have no worries.

You could still get banished. So you have one less avenue of removed from the show. However, you would have the potential stress of making sure you donā€™t get found out etc.

Your fellow traitors might turn on you and betray you.

I am an absolutely terrible liar, so Iā€™d have to be a faithful. I think it would be less stressful and more fun too. Iā€™d never think I would win it but Iā€™d enjoy the experience.
