Top-up refusal

Just had my initial top-up refused by both Barclays and Nationwide. Although Nationwide sent me a text asking me to confirm I made made the attempt and when I replied Yes they allowed me to do another successful top-up.

Will I have similar problems with future top-ups from these cards

Barclays should have done the same if you have a mobile number registered with them. It’s quite a nice feature.

Hard to say if you’ll have problems in the future, fraud prevention engines at banks are strange beasts but by confirming it was legitimate and retrying, it should happen less in the future.
