Read the above. It was more about a VIP option than a donation.
Really? I responded to the original post.
Sorry, I think donating money to a business shows a lack of objectivity. It’s irrational.
Ha! Starling really aren’t the competition at this point, there’s millions of customers who bank with the incumbents to go around.
Well sorry to have offended you so much Johnny.
Nobody is going to get much of a return without them earning a profit are they… This is the place to throw out ideas, daft or not.
I know I would happily pay £5 per month for the product
Eh? You’ve not offended me. You asked a question; I’ve given my view. Isn’t that what this community is about? It’s you making it personal; I’m just offering a different view to yours. You don’t have to accept my view.
Incumbents ?
That’s quite a strong opinion but if you think Starling is not a competitor why have Monzo and Starling opened up competitor threads that refers to each other ?
Cannot see such feedback threads within Revolut or Monese.
Just an observation but I stand corrected and take onboard what you have said
Users are free to get confused about this & create those threads if they want to the Monzo team’s didn’t create those threads though.
There is a Revolut thread btw but right now, they’re even less of a competitor than Starling would be.
To be honest everything is moving at such a pace with announcements flying around frequently
It is very difficult to predict which product will be best for ones personal needs, in say 12 months time
I for one have been trying out these Fintech banks by actually banking with DD/SO and every day expenses. At some point I will just have to stop moving around and commit but then another product appears that’s even better😲
I agree with you that the challenge is mainly with taking business from the big, legacy banks.
I also think that it is fair to refer to any business that offers a similar product/service as a competitor. Starling included. In fact, Monzo and Starling are closer to each other than they are each to legacy banks.
Sure. My point was that Monzo aren’t going to be motivated to bring out new features to compete with Starling, as Chad suggested because they’re not trying to win / save customers from them.
True.
Starling has ApplePay
Which suprising when Monese have a larger customer base than Starling.
Starling’s card processor is so unreliable they have to erase incident records from their status page.
Which is a shame as the rest of their product is good.
