The Mighty Lidl

I went last night but it was around 2120 so all the good stuff had gone. I only wanted a sourdough today from the bakery, mission completed.

I was tempted to buy all sorts, but freezer is full to bursting at the moment.

Now I’m home and chilling I’ve literally just remembered that the only 1 thing I really needed, I didn’t pick up :person_facepalming::rofl:

No but equally as bad, eggs for the scrambled eggs to go on top of it

New Lidl point system wants to match my Revolut Metal plan

Shopped at Lidl for some years now. Where I go they’re reasonably friendly. They’ve recently introduced 90 minutes in the car park so you have to be mindful of time. I find their wines, beer and cider good and protein yoghurt is excellent (gets a good rating on the Yuka app). Own brand ice creams very good. Rolled Oats Porridge is very good. May have to supplement sometimes by going to Tesco as they have a greater range. Also go to Aldi which has some other products which are good. Someone above said Lidl don’t take Amex. I thought they did unless they’ve stopped or it’s Aldi.
Lidl plus saves quite a bit and is recommended though they’ve reduced the discounts now. Pet gripe is adults and kids sitting on the packing shelf.

I could get a 10% off voucher within 3 weeks, reaching the £250 threshold, which was worth around £10 a month depending on my spend. Now I have to spend £1,000 to get a one £10 voucher. Very disappointing, as like all these loyalty points they dilute it at every new scheme introduced. I like the way they say you asked, we listened. No no one asked for this rip off compared with the previous loyalty schemes.
