You don’t happen to live in a place with shared mail area/concierge by any chance? Have you noticed any missing or opened post or suspiciously ‘damaged’ letters of late?
Of sorts, there is a concierge but the mail is individual boxes and handed to concierge staff.
I just need to wait back from the company - they wanted screenshots of the account on my file.
Weirdly it says it was opened in 2020 - so I wonder if someone updated their own account with my details? I don’t know if that’s how it works.
It’s a strange one! I don’t have a ‘Zilch’ account but I looked into them a while ago and they needed not only ID but a bank account in same name! So maybe one of your other accounts is linked to it too?
No idea.
What I do know is that I don’t owe them £100!
It’s been about a year since I first noticed that my Equifax score on the Monzo app is completely different from the score I see directly with Equifax.
Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to make any progress on this yet. I’ve reached out to customer services a few times, but it feels like the responses I’m getting aren’t quite addressing my issue, to put politely… Checked with Equifax, raised disputes the lot and they’ve said it’s all on Monzo. Addresses and my name matches exactly.
So annoying ![]()
I get it! I had the same issue, but @EdSB helped me fix it. Now I’m facing the same problem with TransUnion, but it looks like he hasn’t been active on the forum for a while ![]()
Something seems to have changed as not able to switch to Equifax to view report
Just a slight update on my above issue.
After so much back and forth with customer service - every reply I made to them was received by a different agent and they asked for the same information each time (sounds familiar…) I got to log into my account.
Turns out I did have an account in 2020 - I don’t recall but there we are I did.
In May 2020 Amazon charged the card for a purchase. It went into negative and missed a payment. I then paid it in 2020 and (I guess I thought) closed the account.
They then just listed the account and the missed payment in September 2026 randomly.
Reading around this from what I can tell the credit report has to reflect accurately what happened and when. Not 6 years later.
Am I within rights to tell them to change the marker to 2020 as this was when the payment was actually missed? I’m conscious that now I will have a 2026 missed payment marker for 6 years on file.
Time for the big C. Complain. And if necessary FOS.
It might have been added recently but should reflect the status from 2020, not 2026, so it needs to be corrected, not removed.
It’s factual. But they have an obligation to report accurately, so one missed payment in 2020 should have come off this year anyway as 6 years has lapsed.
And of course they have plenty of offers, especially for you ![]()
They keep telling me to get a mortgage to improve my score. I paid it off years ago so it’s probably dropped off my record now. You’d think, knowing my age, that there’s a reason I don’t need one…
You can get me one if you like!
Same here.
