We’ll also have some staff members circulating around the venue taking short video clips for our social media, and we’d love to get you all involved if you’re coming. It’s your chance to potentially get featured on our Instagram Stories or on our Twitter!
I’m looking forward to this!
Is food and drinks provided?
There will be drinks provided - I believe there will be water throughout the day and a few other drinks towards the end.
We aren’t providing food this time, but there are multiple breaks throughout the day, and lots of options nearby around Shoreditch
Looking like this will be delivered by Sam Starling.
Sam Starling does the best business accounts
I hope that Sam Starling delivers the speech in more than a murmuration.
(I’m so very very sorry Sam. We’ll stop now. )
Really looking forward to watching back on these talks.
Be nice to see the various goals laid out of all the teams
You’re saying they need a we?
Looking forward to watching this over the next few days though!
Great stat from the event
50% of people who had their salary paid into monzo in October used get paid early
BACS salary obviously
Can’t believe Watchdog went without mention in the crime talk!
Does anything else need saying about that?
I thought they might have showed a comparison to other banks, and perhaps give some examples, where possible, about why freezes happen. Would be interesting to know how many are false alarms, and how that compares.
Simon did mention it when he introduced the talk on the agenda…
In terms of Diversity and Inclusion - one area Monzo could do a lot better is in terms of attracting people from less privileged backgrounds. Monzo seems to have a very % of employees from the UK that went to public school and Oxbridge. It’d be good to see social class as something that is measure in D and I alongside gender race sexual orientation disability etc - this feels like a big blind spot for most companies, mainly I suspect because most founders and their leadership team come from public school backgrounds.
Its good to hear this is one area Sheree wants to tackle
That’s great to hear
