I am a quadriplegic because of advanced multiple sclerosis. This means I am unable to use a cashpoint. I have carers that come and help me four times a day, and I can give them my debit card to go and do shopping for me thanks to contactless. The carers are provided by an agency though, so I don’t like the idea of giving them my debit card and pin number so they could get cash out for me. The only way I can get cash is to ask a friend to give me some cash which I can then do a bank transfer for.
It would be outrageously helpful if I could create a pin number that would work for just half an hour so I could ask my carers to get some cash out for me. I could even do the same thing with a friend, so if we’re out and about and somebody’s going to the cashpoint I could give them my card and tell them the pin is going to be 1234 (probably something a bit more imaginative than that though!) And they could get me some cash out.
It might sound pointless to you, because I could’ve just asked them to get me £40 out and do a bank transfer, but doing that process takes an awful lot of effort when you’re using voice commands to instruct your phone what to do. It really wouldn’t be pointless because it would give me a sense of financial independence, and the really powerful feeling of having my own money, and not needing to temporarily borrow money from friends.
Please please please could you make this happen? It would be a real life changer!
