I’m off to USA in October and finding it hard to find banks that allow me to withdraw cash on my Monzo card for free. The ones that do are for domestic customers only (U.S registered bank accounts). There are some ATM’s that allow foreign accounts to withdraw cash for free and these are in the MasterCard Surcharge Free Alliance. Why isn’t Monzo involved in this? Is it related to cost etc? I will still use my card abroad as the rate is better than the “Hedge” rate that you get with most banks however it would be nice to get truly fee free cash withdrawals.

This is because the Surcharge Free alliance is only for US Banks and Credit Card companies…
