Like most other, next working day. Calm
@MonzoFan89 I’ve just checked the T&CS, unfortunately it’s gotta be GBP transactions. They’ve got to be made in the same country that your account is registered to (so the UK for all of us).
Online or in person? Apparently they’ve got to be in person!
They need to be in store as noted by the promotion.
Bonus is on the way by 5th July (will likely be much sooner).
thanks ![]()
I know some people have complained about the time it takes for money to arrive in the account.
I added £100 into my SumUp account and it landed in the account about 5 minutes later.
So maybe its just their system being slow at times?
Mine was instant.
They got sick of people ringing up and saying “where is my pink card you b*****d” ![]()
Hopefully I’ve met it in time ![]()
Bonus on the way by 11th July! Thanks for using my link ![]()
I saw it and thought I’d give it a go. Not sure if anyone else has mentioned but if you try set up a direct debit some complies recognise it as a business account and won’t set the direct debit up. Also when I ordered the card all went through well but a day later got an email saying they know how much I want to use the card so they will send out an old stock card as demand is high. I closed the account the same day as if I can’t get the card I wanted and Definately can’t set up direct debits then there is no point. Plus the cashback cap is £10 month.
I’ve just had a quick look at the SumUp website and there isn’t a huge amount of information on the cashback details.
Does anyone have real-world experience already with the different tiers of cashback and particularly what type of outlet gets you the 5%?
I believe the 5% is when you pay with your SumUp Card at a SumUp Card Terminal
It’s sounds more like anything outside of large supermarkets and retailers.
I’m not sure they could define 5% to their own machines, they’d be too far apart.
I imagine there’s a list of retailers they have which mark as 2%, and other grocery/convenience store\coffee shop MCCs types 5%, and anything else 0.5%, let’s say vape/tobacco shop MCCs.
That’s the only way I can logically pin it.
Edit: I stand corrected ![]()

I closed the account the same day of its offer because direct debits arnt accepted for every company you might have set one up for as some companies see sum up as a business account and not a current account like advertised. Plus you’re limited to £10 a month cashback .
I used to have a Zopa account and closed it and they don’t accept returning customers… yet. Last time I had a Zopa it was also a fixed amount but might have changed now.
I would contact the inform Zopa of the account details and ask them to add it to their system as some systems are outdated and don’t recognise new sort codes. Might have to provide evidence of the sort code to Zopa and ask them to add it . I had a similar issue with a company but after I gave them the details etc they added the sort code to their system.
