Actually, in Starling’s annual report this year, Boden counters this view and projects Starling is able to weather the Covid recession precisely because its older demographic use the product for their salary and therefore it is less dependant on travel interchange fees.

I’m probably that demographic and the thought of using a lounge full of Revolut and Monzo numpties is horrific. Airport lounges are definitely an Emperor’s New Clothes type of service upsold to Gen Y. Like credit scores.
