I was under the impression that it was always a human reviewing the video, but I could be totally wrong.
I kinda want to go through the log-in flow now, but I CBA to type everything out again lol

Yeah. I wonder if one was in an urgent situation if ringing them would speed up the process (kinda like fast-track to the top of the queue).
Absolutely. Monzo does this and it works fine.
Yeah, it’s the wrong thread for this so I’m gonna keep this brief, As my eyes get worse, the iPad is becoming more and more valuable to me, I would love an iPad up for Monzo, Considering I just swapped back
Cause I thought myself well, it’s not very often I contact support anyway And I prefer the UI
If not an ipad app, Just allow multiple logins from the same OS ecosystem
Are people still getting this?
I genuinely can’t tell if my Starling account is restricted (can’t open a joint, can’t open a euro account or additional account).
Might be time to bin off Starling
I don’t think Starling is automated. Every time I had to log in again, it took the longest of all fintechs, sometimes 1 hour+
This should be enabled, which potentially suggests that you don’t meet their eligibility criteria.
There aren’t currently available. But if you currently hold one, then you got to keep it when the restrictions came in.
They do expedite the review process if it’s urgent. I once called as the estimated wait time was a little longer than usual, and the CS agent ran through security with me and then I was logged in quicker than waiting the usual time. Ofc, I only called because I needed immediate access to the app, and wouldn’t have called if I didn’t need to.
Pretty sure that means you aren’t eligible for it.
I do wonder what their eligibility criteria looks like.
I’m pretty responsible with money, use them as my current, pretty decent 6-figure salary.
Not sure what the issue might be.
Applications for most things are still disabled. It’s not just you, so don’t worry. Easy access savers shouldn’t be though.
That is genuinely good to hear for if it ever was an emergency. And nice to see that they are working with people in urgent situations.
Definitely aren’t, I opened one the other day.
My mum’s app just says that it’s coming soon, and she’s really excited to get the easy saver.
Thanks, I’ll give it until the end of the week to see if the saver is turned on for me.
It’s Starling’s special eligibility criteria. No-one knows about it lol. It is bizzare that they don’t even have some sort of rough eligibility guidelines.
I don’t think it’s a case of it being turned on, otherwise it would say the coming soon message.
Opening the savings account is being rolled out gradually.
May also be worth checking if there is an app update - I seem to recall needing one before they allowed me to apply for one.
With that type of profile, you may be better off with the likes of HSBC Premier (or similar) unless you have a particular attachment to Starling
Thanks, I have been considering a premier account for a while. Might take a look in the new year.
My biggest gripe with Starling (and other banks) is their incomplete merchant data, specifically logos.
If you’re going to do logos in the transaction feed, do it well. If you’re not going to do it well don’t do it all.
A mismatch mess of half correct logos and half “AMAZON 827428/&6271” is worse to me.
