Something tells me banks keep sortcodes for internal processes but can’t remember what reasons this could be
either that or it was a dream ![]()
Haha having seen it, yes I remember this
I think Starling have some good points- but they’re lacking in some of the finer details I.e payments tab. I’d liken it a bit to video games where you have impressive cut scene graphics but the gameplay has a drop in functionality.
What do you find lacking about the payments tab in Starling?
It feels a bit rigid and old fashioned. The Pay button reminds me of NatWest who’s aesthetic I really don’t like- so I have a negative association with that part of the app.
Wow, someone at Starling must have heard me- they’ve added a Spending tracker feature (category budgets) it’s like the Monzo targets ![]()
Can you share some images?
They also have this AI where you can ask how much you’ve spent at a certain retailer or things like that
This is the new spending tracker
That’s pretty neat.
Does look good, they most be rolling it out over time, I just checked my starling account and couldn’t see it
Brilliant to finally see budgeting/tracking spending as a feature - but does it not include spending from Spaces?
Don’t have that either. It’s a bit annoying that Starling have a “manage features” setting like Monzo labs but neither seem to use them often for new features.
Monzo still use Monzo Labs but much less frequently.
I don’t recall Starling ever doing anything like that, they may have at the very beginning, as they used to have a forum as well. However that forum was shutdown quite early on.
There’s currently one item under manage features on Starling, the AI spending analysis
I can’t see the spending tracker either.
