# Splitting a bill - mark as "paid" by another method and editing names

The bill splitting feature is really handy and one of the main reasons why I decided to try Monzo. However, it’s not really very useful for a couple of reasons:

1. Often people will pay you by another method other than the Monzo link. There’s no way to mark the split bill as “paid” if they do this. Even just being able to cancel an individual’s portion of the bill would be fine.

2. You can’t edit the names of “Friend 1”, “Friend 2” etc for people who are not on Monzo, so it’s hard to keep track of who still owes what.

If these two enhancements were added to bill splitting, it would be a lot more useful!
