# Split payments from joint account

My partner and I both have personal monzo accounts and a joint account. Our joint account is used for the mortgage, bills and house renovation stuff for the most part. We do occasionally borrow funds from our joint monzo account (to pay for a meal out or similar) with the intention of splitting the bill and each paying in half from our personal monzo accounts.

At present, there doesn’t seem to be an option to equally split/share payments made from a joint account. For example, when I click into “joint account” and then select the transaction that i would like to split with my personal current account, and my partners current account, there’s only an option to select my partner, meaning that he would be requested for half of the amount, and I would not.

A rather long explanation that I’m hoping makes sense - and also hoping is something that could be resolved in future updates of the app!
