Firstly, great to see Monzo getting on the pension option. That’s a big brain move.

Anyway in no particular order

I’d like to see

  1. Limit orders for investment account and charts. Suppose I want to invest when mymap7 is at 1:16? I can’t catch it because I can’t place a limit order.
  2. Crypto wallet integration
  3. A way of blocking certain product purchases without blocking a whole site. This would be useful for something like AppStore
  4. GIFs for profile pics. I know this sounds like a trivial thing but it really isn’t. It’s really cool and people like having gif pfps. Also themes for background wallpapers like Revolut has. I don’t think banks or even social messaging apps take into consideration enough, the importance of people’s emotional attachment to their accounts based on how much freedom they have to customise it. It may seem silly but it’s true and it’s actually genius. People will actually put up with a bad and bot ridden app if they have freedom (consider X for example)

Can’t take you seriously once you said ‘magic beans’. Blackrock holds 350000 bitcoin so if you invest in the fund you are probably exposed anyhow. Dumb comment.

Cryptocurrencies just aren’t ever going to be a thing with Monzo or most mainstream banks.

Mate, Mastercard just released a crypto card that integrates Apple and Google Pay allowing you to spend directly from your wallet. Saying ‘it isn’t a thing’ just means you aren’t paying attention.

So? If you have the ability to use Mastercard from your wallet it diminishes greatly the need for banks.

I’m aware cryptocurrency exists.

Monzo won’t touch it with a bargepole. No major bank will. They wouldn’t risk getting involved in an unregulated market - banking is heavily regulated here.

Wrong again. Revolut just received a UK banking license and I can buy crypto with them. Both comparable banks.

They are in the initial stages, not a full licence. I will bet good money that they wind down their cryptocurrency side once a full licence is achieved.

Regardless, Monzo aren’t going to get into it. You need a different bank then.

Also “wrong again”? I wasn’t wrong in the first place.

Didn’t say they’d be redundant. It’s about market share. Monzo will jump onboard sooner or later.

It’s a bank. Not bebo.

Most banks don’t allow any sort of avatar because it’s not needed. Monzo gives you something. It doesn’t need gifs.

It’s in the top 3 worst ideas suggested though. So you’ve not completely failed.

I did say ‘it might seem silly’ but I saw something of worth in it. I guess I’m just an open minded person.
