I’m one of those parents that’s holding off getting my child a smart phone for as long as possible. Is there/could there be an option for under 16 to access their account and features via desktop/web ?n

At this time, there is no web access for child accounts. Like many other feature requests, there could be, but I don’t think it’s a feature that is on the short-term development plan.
