Setting up current account using CASS

Once you have your account set up in the app there’s an option which says switch to Monzo, I think I did this. So I do have a current account in the app. I don’t have a card as it’s too early (only applied Friday).

I just hope the CASS did not go through now as I did input all my old account details.

I’ve emailed and sent an in-app chat (since 8am this morning, 10 hours ago) so I guess I just have to wait, keep checking my old account to make sure nothing sinister happens (hopefully not), and then just hope the CASS didn’t happen.

If the switch has gone through your old bank will send a message and you can cancel it with them

It is easy, you’ve just somehow managed to confuse a process or 2. I think there’s a slight cooling off period for CASS, so hopefully can just be cancelled.

Don’t quote me on that though.

I had the same issue at the weekend but my switch has gone through and I am happy for it to proceed. It did throw me a bit in the app asking for Monzo pin and CVC and then telling me they were wrong :flushed: Checked with Monzo and they said all had gone through and it’s proceeding fine as of today.

Slightly unnerving at the time though

from my experience, you can not stop a CASS after the 7 days start.
ie if you say do switch asap then thay will start switch and it can not be stopped.
if you say switch my acc in 2 weeks you will have 7 days before it starts to stop it.
