Can confirm itās back to saying co-op on the main page, also seems to have updated to include Aprils payment after being stuck on January for 4 months then February for a week.
Iām currently mid-way through porting my mortgage - As weāve bought a new-build that wasnāt finished when we completed on the sale of our old home, we paused the mortgage for a month and it will resume next week once we complete on the new home. Curious to see how this is picked up on Monzo
It was a very offline, slow, paper-based process to port the mortgageā¦ but ultimately worth it because it was an early 2021 interest rateā¦ which was worth the hassle
Do keep us posted! I believe we will see this coming through as a new record on your credit file (right now youād need to add it again from the menu from the Home screen)
Most of the time changing product with your current lender doesnāt reset your record but I think porting is the exception! Would love to hear your experience of it
Hi Harry,
When I view my mortgage and notice that my equity has changed, itās not always clear whether thatās because Monzo has picked up my latest repayment or whether the estimated value has changed.
Iād love to see a graph showing estimated home value, outstanding mortgage balance and equity over time.
Mine changed today as well, not a happy bunny @HB . Seems my house value has gone down
If you could bump the figures back up much appreciated
Mine changed recently too. I did get an in-app notification telling me it was due to the change in (what Monzo thinks is) the price. That was new to me.
My mortgage overnight went from +4.4 to negative .7. This is definitely linked to either a data provider or estimate logic change. The market has not changed by 5% for sure
The data for house prices comes from the ONS to compare how price has changed since purchase. It explains this in the app. It says it doesnāt take into account things that make your home unique.
How is it related to the fact that with the new update the price went down by 5% for what looks like many people ?
Possibly the data lags behind current prices?
Mine went up 4% with the last in-app update.
The in app estimate will be way off anyway, mine was off by about Ā£50k vs what it sold for. So 5% here or there is small change.
Iāve switched to a new mortgage as of yesterday. It came up in the app as my Halifax mortgag has ended and i clicked on a confirmation message. Now itās a little bit confusing on how i can add my new provider nationwide and the rates and so on because itās still showing it as a Halifax mortgage
I was also on help to buy and there is an option to remove it but not sure if i should do that since the equity loan it has currently is incorrect and i am not sure if that needs to be updated somehow before i remove it
just noticed this is now implemented?
Is it? I donāt see anything different in the app. What do you see?
Shows that 3 (in my case) Mortgages linked to one property, and the equity is correct whichever mortgage you select.
Oh youāre right! I had to update the address on one of them, but now they are linked
One addition Iād like to see to the interest rate calculator is rather than just showing what the adjusted payments are, but also to be able to view what effect would be if you calculate a reduced rate but keep the payments the same. Looking at mine, if I calculate a rate 0.25% less than Iām on it tells me Iāll save Ā£20 a month, but Iād be interested in the total saving and reduction in term if I kept my payments the same as another option.
Still waiting for my payment to show up but I think my case has caused a bug. It now tells me I own 100% equity in my houseā¦ if this is true this is excellent news. However, Iām not sure it is also tells me my āAprilā payment will be reflected soon. Happy to speak in more detail
